MinnPost’s Earth Journal Circle presents “Climate change: Right here, right now,” a substantive discussion of how Earth’s changing climate is showing up in Minnesota’s natural resources — and how policymakers are responding.
Discussion will feature leading experts Mark Seeley on weather patterns, Lee Frelich on forest health and J. Drake Hamilton on the policy landscape, each separating fact from fancy and forecasting what’s ahead. Earth Journal writer Ron Meador will moderate.
At Hell’s Kitchen, 80 S. 9th Street in downtown Mpls. Program begins at 6:15. Event includes appetizer buffet, dessert & coffee plus cash bar. Reservation deadline Wednesday, Feb. 20. $15 for current MinnPost members, $25 for others.
Ron Meador’s Earth Journal appears on MinnPost twice weekly, covering the environment, energy and related issues. Ron is a former Star Tribune editorial writer and former executive of two nonprofits in the environment and energy fields. The Society of Professional Journalists Minnesota Chapter named Earth Journal the 3rd place winner for Best Independent News Blog/Online in 2011. Earth Journal is supported in part by generous donors, who have pledged to support MinnPost’s coverage of environmental issues for three years.
