MinnPost Social: 2015 MN Legislative Preview

  • This event has passed.

The 2015 legislative session is upon us — and not a moment too soon. There’s a budget bill to pass, massive transportation needs, huge gaps in educational achievement, and simmering resentments between the needs of Greater Minnesota and those of the Twin Cities metro area. All of which need to be addressed amid a massive, three-year restoration project at the Capitol. Oh, and for anything to get done, the Republican-controlled House and DFL-run Senate must find common ground.

What could possibly go wrong?

Join MinnPost writers Briana Bierschbach and Doug Grow, and Executive Editor Andrew Putz at The Happy Gnome in St. Paul on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for a chance to find out – or to ask any other question under the sun about this year’s legislative session, whether about the politics, the policies or the personalities of those in charge of leading the state.

This lively question and answer session is part of MinnPost’s free event series, MinnPost Social, in which MinnPost journalists share insights with audience members in a casual atmosphere that includes a cash bar — and free appetizers.
