FAQ

Q: Where is MinnPost Festival 2023 held?

A: This year’s Festival will be in two locations. The keynote reception and session with Samantha Bee on Friday, Sept. 22 is at Minneapolis Event Centers in St. Anthony Main. All of the sessions and Public Square activities on Saturday, Sept. 23 will be held at the 1893 at the Historic Grain Belt Office in northeast Minneapolis.

Q: Where do I park?

A: On Friday, you may park at the St. Anthony Ramp is at 201 2nd St SE, across the street from the venue. Street parking may also be available.

On Saturday, the lot at Northeast Bank at 77 Broadway St NE,  next door to the venue, is open to Festival attendees. Do not park in the Grain Belt Apartments lot directly adjacent to the building. Street parking may also be available.

A: Nope! Simply check in at the registration table and receive your badge when you arrive.

Q: Will there be any virtual events this year?

A: No. All of the events will be in person this year. We will be recording some of the sessions and posting them to MinnPost’s YouTube page later on.

Q: What is Public Square?

A: Held on Saturday, Sept. 23 at The 1893 at the Historic Grain Belt Office, Public Square is an all-day celebration of civic life in Minnesota. And the best part about it? It’s absolutely free. It will include interactive experiences, activities for all ages, market vendors, food and drink, as well as three featured free Festival sessions. We’ll close out the day with a happy hour and DJ. Public Square is open to any type of passholder, be it a VIP package, All-Access Pass or Free Pass. Register for your pass here.

Q: What’s the difference between a Free Pass and an All-Access Pass?

A: There are two types of Festival Passes: Free Passes and All-Access Passes. Free Passes don’t cost anything and get you into select sessions in Public Square on Saturday. All-Access Passes cost $85 and get you access to all Saturday sessions, including the free panels AND the breakout sessions. All-Access Passes also get you into the keynote session with Samantha Bee on Friday night.

Q: Can I come and go on Saturday? Is reentry allowed?

A: Yes. Once you’ve checked in and received your festival badge, you may come and go as you please. Just make sure to hold onto your badge for easy reentry. Check in for a session, go out and take a break, and then come back for another session as you like.
