Minneapolis police may have tased the wrong guy. MPR’s Riham Feshir writes: “A Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle is suing two Minneapolis police officers for allegedly violating his civil rights during an encounter in which he was stunned with a Taser and pepper sprayed at a downtown bar in 2014. … Tom Johnson was arrested for trespass and disorderly conduct in October 2014. A jury acquitted him last June. This month, he filed the civil rights lawsuit in federal court against officers Patrick McCarver and John LaLuzerne.”

There’s plenty of interest in the evidence from the Jamar Clark case. WCCO’s Al Schoch reports: “People seem to be logging on to the county attorney’s website to take a look at that information. A lot. … ‘We normally have, like, 400 or 500 hits a day. We’ve had 68,000 hits since last Wednesday. 68,000. Unprecedented.’ … Wednesday was the day [Hennepin County Attorney Mike] Freeman revealed his decision not to charge the officers in Clark’s shooting. That same day, his files on the investigation were posted on the website.”

Somebody in the General Mills marketing department is getting a raise. The LA Times’ Jessica Roy writes: “It’s the hottest album of 2016. And it’s about a processed food product. … It’s ‘Watch the Stove,’ the shockingly good mixtape released by Hamburger Helper for April Fools’ Day. Except it’s not a joke. … Well, the songs, including ‘Feed the Streets’ and ‘In Love With the Glove,’ are about the packaged food product and include lyrics like ‘if you catch me at the stove, I was whippin’ up a bowl’ and ‘hold up I told you I’m servin’ that stroganoff.’ But they’re … good. Like, really good.”

Bank robber at large. The Star Tribune’s Paul Walsh reports: “Suspicions are high that the same young woman has robbed her second bank in less than two weeks in the Twin Cities. … The most recent holdup occurred Saturday afternoon in Maplewood at the TCF Bank branch inside a Cub Foods on County Road B near Rice Street, police said. … The young woman handed the teller a note, implied that she had a gun and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.”
