From politics to public policy, from making money to making meals, from gardening to golf, hundreds of Minnesotans are blogging about their passions. Every day they offer useful advice, valuable expertise and informed opinions on a rich range of interesting and important topics.

Minnesota’s contribution to the world of blogging is growing so fast it’s almost a full-time job to keep up with what’s worth reading. So we’ve asked MinnPost journalist Justin Piehowski to help all of us do just that in the reintroduction of our feature Minnesota Blog Cabin.

Each morning Justin will survey hundreds of Minnesota’s best blogs looking for the best of the best. And beginning today, MinnPost will run every weekday Minnesota bloggers’ strongest contributions as culled by Justin from the blogosphere.

The topics will be as diverse as the bloggers themselves, but our aim is that every blog we select for Minnesota Blog Cabin have a common quality: They will be skillfully done and worthy of your reading time.

One of Justin’s goals is to be on constant lookout for talented new bloggers. So if you blog and would like Justin to consider your work for Minnesota Blog Cabin, please contact him at jpiehowski [at] minnpost [dot] com.

In the meantime, check out the first installment of the best of the best in Minnesota Blog Cabin.

Roger Buoen is co-managing editor of MinnPost.
