We need your help in honoring Minnesota’s best community projects

What are some of the year’s best community projects in Minnesota?

You can weigh in on that question by learning about the 20 nominees here and then voting here for your three favorites.

The Community Pride Showcase — co-sponsored by the Minnesota State Fair, Minnesota Rural Partners Inc. and MinnPost.com — publicly recognizes communities and neighborhoods for their community-wide improvement efforts and achievements.

Online voting is open through Friday, Aug. 13. The 20 nominees will be featured and the winners announced Sunday, Aug. 29, at the Minnesota State Fair during daylong festivities at Carousel Park sponsored by MinnPost and Minnesota Rural Partners.

The 12:30 p.m. award ceremony is part of a full day of activities that also will include newsmaker interviews, music, comedy and performances. Events run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We’ll have more details in coming days on MinnPost activities during our second annual Day at the State Fair. For a glimpse at last year’s Fair fun, check out the slide show here.
