The tour guides who take thousands of people through the Glensheen mansion in Duluth don’t talk about the famous double murder there, unless asked by a guest on the tour.  (For years, they couldn’t even talk about it when asked.)

But MinnPost reporter Joe Kimball, who wrote a book about the murders, told the story with panache this weekend to ten MinnPost supporters who purchased the tour at the 2010 MinnRoast event.   The group was joined on the tour by Glensheen docent Vicki Surges, who showed off her own considerable knowledge of the house and Congdon family.

Afterward, the MinnPostmobile insisted on posing for a photograph in front of Duluth’s most famous landmark.
