MinnRoast: closing the books on 2011, announcing the date for 2012

We are closing the books on Saturday night, April 30, and we need $4,526 in post-event donations to beat last year’s Challenge Fund results.

Update on MinnRoast 2011: $6,870 in last-minute donations plus a $2,138 match added $9,008 to the Challenge Fund, bringing this year’s Challenge Fund total to $17,443. Thank you for your generous support.

MinnPost’s Event Committee met yesterday to evaluate MinnRoast 2011 and start planning for 2012. The big decisions:

  • Friday, April 27 is the date for MinnRoast 2012. Snow birds and spring vacationers should be back by then. 2012 will be the fifth anniversary production.
  • We will return to the same venues that were so successful this year: Pantages Theatre and SEVEN The Steakhouse. We’ll work creatively to reduce crowding at the reception, while trying to fill all 990 seats for the show.
