Fall membership campaign ends with 615 sustainers and 3,155 total donors

MinnPost’s fall sustaining membership drive wrapped up last week with significant growth in membership.

We had 453 sustaining members at the end of our June campaign, and 615 by the end of this drive. Sustainers represent almost 20% of our full donor list, which now totals 3,155.

Many of our new sustainers explained why they decided to join. Just a few examples: “Great writers and great, fact-based reporting deserves our attention and resources.” “I’ve been reading your work for too long without contributing — it’s high time.” And “MinnPost is my go-to source of political news every day. Best coverage in the Twin Cities!”

Sixty percent of new sustainers chose to give monthly while 40 percent became annual sustainers. Monthly gifts ranged from $5 to $60, with $10 per month the most common. Twenty new one-time donors made gifts ranging up to $1,000.

We are grateful to all MinnPost supporters. Whether you choose to become a sustainer or make a one-time gift, you make the work we do possible.

Our sincere thanks to Stephanie Johnson, our membership director, and Corey Anderson, our web editor, for their work on this membership drive.

The campaign may officially be over, but you won’t be surprised to hear us say that you can still sign up as a sustaining member, any day, any time, here.
