The MinnPost Asks live interview series wraps up for 2011 on Monday, October 24, with a program called “Twin Cities 2041 — What Lies Ahead?”

Steve Berg will interview Susan Haigh, Metropolitan Council Chair, and Michael Langley, CEO of the new organization Greater MSP. Envision Minnesota is co-sponsor of this event.

Steve Berg founded and wrote MinnPost’s Cityscape urban affairs blog until recently. (Cityscape is now written by Steve Dornfeld.)

The MinnPost Asks series features newsmaker interviews in an informal setting with audience interaction, with a hearty appetizer buffet, dessert and coffee, and cash bar. Events are 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Hell’s Kitchen (80 South 9th St., Minneapolis). Series sponsors are Dorsey & Whitney and Padilla Speer Beardsley.

    So excited for this event. Steve Berg’s columns were always a pleasure and helped shape my thinking on urban issues, especially those near and dear to the Twin Cities. As an Urban Studies major at the U of M, I flocked to his column for ideas for research papers. So far, I think Steve Dornfield is carrying the torch well. I’m interested to see how Susan Haigh sees the Council’s role going forward and hear ideas on how they can do a better job of managing the public’s perception of this very important body.

    Any word on whether they will be taking questions from the audience?
