What if you could help MinnPost win $1,000 or $10,000 just by giving 10 bucks?

Give to the Max Day

On November 16, 2011 — Give to the Max Day — you can.

Give to the Max Day is a day for Minnesotans to come together to raise as much money as possible for nonprofits in 24 hours — starting at midnight on November 16 through midnight on November 17. GiveMN is a collaborative venture to transform philanthropy in Minnesota by growing overall giving and moving more of it online. Last year, more than 42,000 donors logged on to GiveMN.org and gave over $10 million to Minnesota charities in 24 hours during Give to the Max Day. More than 300 of them gave to MinnPost.

Why is your gift so important?
First, a MinnPost board member has generously provided a matching gift so every contribution will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum of $20,000 — doubling the impact of your gift. In addition, for the first time, $15,000, $10,000 and $7,500 prize grants will be awarded to the top three nonprofit organizations which receive the most dollars in 24 hours during Give to the Max Day and $5,000 prize grants will be awarded to nonprofits in 4th through 10th place on the main leaderboard. So, if you haven’t made your annual gift to MinnPost this year, now is a great time to do so. If you have already made your gift, we encourage you to give again. Please help us extend our outreach by forwarding this along to three friends and help us claim our position on the leader board.

Give to the Max Day

In addition, each hour, one donation to a nonprofit will be randomly selected and that nonprofit will get an additional $1,000 from Give to the Max. So, everyone who makes a gift to MinnPost could get lucky and magnify their donation. At the end of the day, one more donor will be randomly selected from among all contributions that day and that donor’s organization will receive a $10,000 grand Golden Ticket prize. So, if you’re a night owl, feel free to sign on between 12:01 AM and 5:00 AM, when your odds will improve.

Gifts of all sizes are significant and can start at just $10. Mark your calendars for November 16, 2011 and don’t miss out on this important opportunity.
