Setting a state and national record, 53,339 donors gave $16,391,905 to 4,381 nonprofits and schools yesterday as part of the 4th annual Give to the Max Day initiative.
These impressive (though still unofficial) numbers were posted by GiveMN, a collaborative venture to transform philanthropy in Minnesota by growing overall giving and moving more of it online.
Here at MinnPost World HQ, we are thrilled with our results. We finished at #43 on the main leaderboard, with 303 donations totaling $38,076. Adding in the $5,000 match from a generous Board member, we raised $43,076 in 24 hours.
