MinnPost is seeking candidates for publisher, a new leadership position.
“MinnPost is growing. We’ve reached a point where Laurie and I and our board of directors agreed that it was time to add this position,” said Joel Kramer, CEO and Editor of MinnPost. “Growing our operational revenue is our most critical need, so that we can invest more in high-quality journalism.”
The publisher will report to the CEO and Editor, and will oversee advertising and sponsorship, membership, technology, promotion, and administration, including finance, human resources, and grant management.
The publisher will be part of the executive team, along with Joel Kramer, the CEO/Editor, and Laurie Kramer, who will remain in charge of major donors, major events, and board relations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in online media management; familiarity with marketing, advertising, sponsorship, membership, promotion and technology functions; demonstrated leadership ability and strategic thinking; experience using data to drive decision-making, and a thorough understanding of and commitment to high-quality journalism standards. However, proven leaders with different experiences are welcome to apply. Experience in the nonprofit world and knowledge of the Twin Cities community are desirable.
