MinnPost reader survey draws 2,000+ responses

More than 2,000 newsletter subscribers, social media followers, and website visitors responded to MinnPost’s most comprehensive reader survey.

MinnPost’s most comprehensive reader survey is now complete. The survey was submitted to our newsletter subscribers, social media followers, and website visitors, and 2000+ readers responded.

In addition to basic reader demographics, the survey sought to define how our readers use MinnPost, value the news we provide, and consider the merits of membership. The information we collected is invaluable to our continuing efforts to develop and improve — and to maintain our role as an important, relevant news source for the Twin Cities and Minnesota communities. Analysis of the survey data will begin later this month.

MinnPost places great value on our readers’ time and opinions. As a ‘thank you’ to survey responders, each participant had the opportunity to enroll in a drawing to win a Kindle Fire HD tablet or two tickets to MinnRoast 2014 on Friday, April 25. Kris Lang-Shasky of Minneapolis and a guest will join us at the Historic State Theatre on the 25th, and Jean Garbarini of Minneapolis will receive the new tablet. Congratulations to them both, and thank you to all survey participants for their important contribution to MinnPost.

Extra thanks to Al Tims, Director of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the U of M, for sharing his expertise in survey design with MinnPost. We look forward to his guidance as we begin the data analysis.
