If you’ve been watching the year-end thermometer on MinnPost’s home page, you may have noticed that the nutcracker graphic is starting to show some color.

That’s because we’re making progress towards our goals.

About a week into the campaign, we are more than 40 percent of the way towards the goal of donations from 375 households that have not supported MinnPost so far this year.

And we’re 30 percent of the way towards the goal of $60,000 in total year-end donations from first-time and returning donors.

Every dollar donated will help us meet one or both goals.

Please make a year-end donation today. When you do, let us know why you’re supporting MinnPost. Your comment may inspire someone else to join the MinnPost donor family.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone living in Minnesota or elsewhere in the country who has stepped forward so far. The comments below, including several from California and Arizona, are reprinted with permission.
