Doug Grow and Briana Bierschbach discussing the 2015 legislative session at last week's MinnPost Social.

Close to 100 people turned out at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul last Thursday to hear MinnPost reporters Briana Bierschbach and Doug Grow discuss the 2015 legislative session. Executive Editor Andrew Putz moderated the discussion, which featured sharp questions from attendees about everything from the state budget to how to balance the needs of Greater Minnesota with those of the Twin Cities metro area.

The legislative preview was a part of MinnPost’s new free event series, MinnPost Social, in which our journalists share their insights with the public in a casual atmosphere.

Look for information coming soon about our upcoming MinnPost Earth Journal event, which will feature a presentation about imperiled pollinators with honeybee expert Marla Spivak, distinguished McKnight professor and director of the University of Minnesota’s Bee Lab. Earth Journal writer Ron Meador will moderate the question-and-answer period.

    THANK YOU!

I’m so glad I made the trip down to attend this event. Great speakers, valuable information, and a nice opportunity to meet some fellow Minnpost readers. I only wish it could have been longer!
