MinnPost is honored and delighted to announce the return of Minnesota’s junior senator, Al Franken, to the MinnRoast stage. While a three-time Emmy winner for his comedic writing and producing, the newly re-elected senator keeps his humor in check these days. MinnRoast is a rare opportunity to enjoy Franken’s singular wit.

MinnRoast 2015, held on April 24 at the Historic State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis, is our eighth annual song-and-skit variety show featuring your favorite local politicians, journalists and media types. All proceeds support MinnPost, your online source for local, high-quality, independent news coverage for Minnesota.

Joining Sen. Franken this year will be returning guests Mayor Betsy Hodges, Rep. Tom Emmer, vocalist Tesfa Wondemagegnehu, Philip Brunelle and VocalEssence. Joining the MinnRoast cast for the first time will be Rep. Keith Ellison, House Speaker Kurt Daudt, GO96 morning host Barb Abney and vocalist Maria Jette. You can find more information about the event and special guests here.
