Tuesday marks the start of our Summer Member Drive, which aims to add 100 member households to our ranks by July 2 to give us our largest member count ever.

While the purpose of this drive is the same as all of our previous fundraising efforts — enabling MinnPost to produce more great journalism for people who care about Minnesota — we’re approaching it somewhat differently than past campaigns.
Most important are a couple of changes we’ve made to improve the MinnPost user experience for our members, as a way to both thank those who already support us and inspire more of our readers to do so by making a tax-deductible donation.
- We’ve launched our newest member benefit, MinnPost+, bonus content for those who give MinnPost the equivalent of $5 per month or more. (Read our Monday announcement for details.)
- We’ve changed how we communicate. Starting with this drive, we will be tailoring our on-site membership messages for different users. If you’re not a member, you’ll be reminded all week in pop-up ads that we want and need your support, just the way you’re reminded during public radio and public television member drives. But if you are a member (and logged in) you won’t have to see all those reminders – you’ll just get one pop-up message thanking you for your support.
Both benefits require members to have a MinnPost user account, which anyone can create for free via our registration page.
