Hot finish to Summer Member Drive gives MinnPost highest-ever member count

Thanks to a scorching finish, we finished our Summer Member Drive by setting a new record for MinnPost membership: as of today, we have 2,418 member households!

We thank all those who gave during the campaign, and all of our members – your contributions make our work possible.

The Summer Member Drive brought in 169 donations collectively worth $11,733, including 84 gifts from first-time members and 55 gifts from returning members. That gave us 139 new or returning members, well above the goal of 100 we set at the start of the campaign.

As you might have noticed, we launched a couple of new site features in conjunction with the Summer Member Drive that we used to give qualifying members access to bonus MinnPost+ content while reducing the number of on-site membership solicitations they saw. Member feedback was positive and our drive was successful, so we plan to continue both practices in the future.

And now that we have the capability to deliver enhanced experiences to logged-in MinnPost users, you can expect to see us launch additional features for registered users – for both members and non-members – in coming months.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to tell us why they decided to support MinnPost during this drive. The comments below are published with permission.
