MinnPost is a finalist in national 2015 Online Journalism Awards

MinnPost is one of four finalists for General Excellence in Online Journalism, small-division category.

For the second year in a row, MinnPost has been named a finalist in the 2015 Online Journalism Awards.

MinnPost is one of four finalists for General Excellence in Online Journalism, small-division category. The other finalists in the category are civilbeat.com, kbia.org, and texastribune.org.

The General Excellence category honors a journalism organization “that successfully fulfills its editorial mission, effectively serves its audience, maximizes the use of digital tools and platforms, and represents the highest journalistic standards.” Entries are judged “on quality of journalism, use of social tools, creative use of the medium and platform, user interface and interactivity.”

News projects of two other Minnesota organizations were named finalists. The Star Tribune’s “Bees at the Brink” project is a finalist in the large division of the explanatory reporting category. MPR News, which competes in the medium division, is a finalist for two projects, “Betrayed by Silence: The Investigation” in the feature category and “Climate Change in Minnesota” in the explanatory reporting category.
