Congress is soon expected to push through a rewrite of No Child Left Behind; Minnesota has again changed the tests it asks schools to administer; and everyone, everywhere, seems to have an opinion about Common Core. At the next MinnPost Social, education reporter Beth Hawkins examines the current state of affairs in measuring student, teacher and school performance: How much is enough? How much is too much? And are recent events spelling the end of an era when it comes to testing?
The event, sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, will take place 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Republic at Seven Corners, in Minneapolis. Light appetizers and food for thought will be provided.
Tickets go on sale to the general public Sept. 14, and may be purchased for $10 apiece via our event registration page.
(Tickets are free to MinnPost Silver, Gold, and Platinum members; members who would like to attend and did not receive a promo code via email can request one by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (651) 455-6951.)
