Thanks to the generosity of 215 member-donors, MinnPost had its best Give to the Max Day in three years, raising $25,091, up 23 percent from 2014.

And we would like to again thank the MinnPost board member who got our campaign off to a great start by offering to match the first $5,000 received dollar for dollar.
MinnPost is a reader-supported nonprofit, and member donations are our largest source of revenue. They determine how much we are able to invest in high-quality, Minnesota-focused journalism.
In tangible terms, the membership donations we received in this 24-hour period will enable the reporting and publication of more than 60 MinnPost stories.

Across all organizations, the total amount given during Give to the Max Day this year was about even with the 2014 total. According to GiveMN.org, donors gave $18.1 million yesterday, down 1 percent from the $18.3 million raised last year.
