We’re proud to announce a new addition to MinnRoast this year. Five videos, narrated by former MPR host Gary Eichten, will offer hilarious tales about Minnesota history that they didn’t teach you in school. How were Cheerios named? How was hotdish invented? What’s Alan Page doing with Minnesota Orchestra trumpeter Manny Laureano? You’ll need to attend the show to find out, but we’ll offer you a little tease below.

MinnRoast, now in its ninth year, has become a highlight of the Minnesota political calendar, bringing policymakers and journalists together to poke fun at each other and the state we all love in songs, skits, and monologues.

Schedued to appear this year will be Gov. Mark Dayton, Rep. Tom Emmer, Sen. Al Franken, Mayors Betsy Hodges and Chris Coleman, and more. You can find more information about the event and special guests here.
