Proceeds from this year’s MinnRoast special appeal will help fund our election coverage this fall. Thank you to the more than 230 individuals who came forward — either at the event or online — to pledge $42,618 in support of MinnPost’s coverage.

Among other things, their support will help…

  • our Washington correspondent, Sam Brodey, cover the national conventions in Philadelphia and Cleveland
  • reporters Briana Bierschbach, Peter Callaghan and Doug Grow file stories from around Greater Minnesota on the issues that are likely to swing state legislative contests
  • our data team report on how unlimited campaign dollars — so-called dark money — is being spent around the state, and
  • immigration reporter Ibrahim Hirsi take a deeper look at how Minnesota’s changing demographics are shaping our politics.

If you would like to support our election coverage, it’s not too late to contribute to the MinnRoast campaign.
