MinnPost raises more than $27,000 on Give to the Max Day

Thanks to the generosity of more than 270 readers, MinnPost raised $27,859 during Give to the Max Day, GiveMN’s annual 24-hour giving blitz. Those numbers make 2016 the most successful Give to the Max Day in recent MinnPost history.

Thank you to every reader who made a gift in support of our work during this important day, and to the generous MinnPost board member who got our campaign started Thursday by matching the first $5,000 in gifts received dollar for dollar.

In addition to the gifts received from our readers through GiveMN.org and MinnPost.com, MinnPost also received a $1,000 “golden ticket” award from GiveMN and the Minnesota Community Foundation.

MinnPost is a reader-supported nonprofit, and member donations are our largest source of revenue. Their support enables us to cover news and issues important to Minnesota.

Of course, it’s never too late to support MinnPost! Those who are inspired to support our work may make a donation today via MinnPost.com.

According to GiveMN, donors gave $20.1 million yesterday, up from the $18.1 million raised for Minnesota nonprofits on Give to the Max Day in 2015.
