Today, we’re launching MinnPost’s year-end member drive, our most important fundraising campaign of the year.
With a new contingent of lawmakers in St. Paul and Washington, D.C., independent, high-quality public affairs reporting is more important than ever. That’s why MinnPost exists, and it’s why during this drive we’ll be thanking our platinum members with a subscription to The New York Times.
Readers who become Platinum members by giving at least $20 per month (or $240 at one time) will be eligible for new one-year digital subscriptions to The New York Times.
In 2015, MinnPost raised more than $68,000 in year-end gifts, with contributions from 552 donors ranging from $5 to $5,000. This year, we’re hoping to raise $75,000 and close 2016 with a record number of member households.
Achieving our year-end campaign goals will give us momentum heading into 2017. Award-winning journalism is expensive to produce – and reader donations are our largest source of revenue.
Our goals are ambitious, but we can reach them if everyone does their part – audience and traffic are at an all-time high.
