MinnPost’s nonprofit newsroom earned donations from 259 generous supporters through Give to the Max Day 2018, providing essential resources for its reporting in the year ahead.

A big thank you to the 259 generous donors who gave a total of $20,414 to MinnPost’s nonprofit newsroom on Nov. 15, Give to the Max Day 2018, Minnesota’s annual statewide day of philanthropy organized by GiveMN. The fundraising total for the campaign includes $5,000 of matching funds donated by an anonymous MinnPost board member.

Reader support provides the single largest source of funding for our public-service journalism. With GTMD donations ranging from $10 to $500, the day underscored how vital broad support from a large number of readers has been (and will continue to be) to MinnPost’s success.
