KARE 11's Jana Shortal will make her first appearance on the MinnRoast stage as this year's emcee.

Fresh off an appearance on the “Today” show, Jana Shortal, the effortlessly cool host of Kare 11’s “Breaking the News,” isn’t afraid to break the rules. So don’t expect that to change as she takes on the role of MinnRoast emcee. You can definitely expect a few jabs at Minnesota politicians and media types (and maybe even online news outlets), but all in good fun. Be sure to catch her charms at the show by securing your ticket today.

One of the highlights of Minnesota’s political calendar, MinnRoast brings politicians, journalists, actors, and singers together each year at the State Theatre to gently skewer Minnesota politics — and each other.

Jana Shortal joins a packed cast including: Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, Gov. Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, the entire Minnesota delegation to the U.S. House, actress Sally Wingert, choral group OutLoud! — and more.
