Last time she appeared at MinnRoast, Sen. Tina Smith was four months in to her first term in the Senate. She was navigating getting in with the cool crowd and thinking about her memoir. MinnRoast is the highlight of Minnesota’s political calendar. Every year politicians, journalists, actors, and singers converge at the State Theatre to gently skewer Minnesota politics and each other. Acts are wide-ranging in this variety show  from monologues and video sketches to songs and parodies.
