We’re less than 50 days away from Election Day. In addition to the presidential race, there’s a seat in the U.S. Senate at stake, and all 201 members of the Minnesota Legislature will be on the ballot. The results of these contests will shape the politics and policies in Minnesota for years to come.
That’s why MinnPost’s nonprofit newsroom is hard at work bringing you context and insight into the state’s races. We have ambitious plans to bring our readers into the heart of the issues that really matter during a major election in an unprecedented year. And this reporting doesn’t end on Nov. 3, but extends well beyond then to cover the consequences of these races.
But our team of reporters needs your help to make this in-depth, analytical work possible. We need to hear from 200 new/renewing members to ensure our team has the resources it needs to continue this consequential work. Will you join today with a donation of ANY amount?
Thanks for reading MinnPost and being with us during this tumultuous year.
THANK YOU to the readers who have already donated during our Fall Member Drive! When members donate, we always ask them why they’re inspired to do so. Here are a few recent responses:
“I appreciate the in-depth coverage on public policies and mental health.” — Sue, Minneapolis
“Supporting quality independent journalism is key to supporting democracy.” — Anonymous donor, Minneapolis
“Great in depth news not available in newspapers.” — Anonymous donor, Naples, FL
“I appreciate the unbiased local coverage and the fact that you don’t have a paywall. I pay for a Star Tribune subscription but I rely heavily on MinnPost as well.” — Naomi, St. Paul
