Some ‘Dream’-y songs for pondering the plot twists of ‘Inception’

Here are lots of “Dream” songs to keep you company while you try to sort out the blockbuster movie’s multilayered levels.

After immersing yourself in Leonardo DiCaprio’s recent blockbuster film “Inception,” you probably need some time to figure out the intricacies of the plot’s elaborate dreamscape. I know I did.

Here are lots of “Dream” songs to keep you company while you try to sort out the movie’s multilayered levels.

We’ll start with two of the all-time greatest voices:

• Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams (Of You)”

• Roy Orbison with three great songs: “Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream)” and two featured in movies “In Dreams” (“Blue Velvet”) and “Dream (When You’re Feeling Blue)” (“You’ve Got Mail”)

And here are a couple more movie “Dreams”:

“Pieces of Dreams,” a Michel Legrand song from the like-titled movie, performed here by Johnny Mathis

“(All I Do the Whole Night Through Is) Dream of You,” from “Singin’ in the Rain”

Then a pair of songs by two legendary singers:
