The current record for the most number of flu shots given in one day is 3,271. The University of Minnesota hopes to shatter that record on Oct. 28, with 10,000 shots given.
The U will have four spots on campus to get a shot, but the downside is you must be a U of M student or employee to get the free flu shot. In addition, the mass one-day shot frenzy will serve as a test of the university’s emergency response system, to see how many people can be inoculated in a short period of time.
