Survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack describe their experiences aboard the USS St. Louis, nicknamed “Lucky Lou.” One crew member recalls seeing a flying fireball of a Japanese plane overhead. Twenty-one U.S. ships were sunk or damaged, and 188 aircraft were lost. The Japanese lost 29 aircraft and at least one mini-submarine. (Eighty-four Naval Reservists from Minnesota were serving on active duty there that day.)

Interviews were shot in 2001.
