Many charities have been hit hard by the drop in the economy. The Greater Twin Cities United Way is hoping at least 10,000 people will donate $5 each to its new Give5Now fundraising campaign before the new year. Their video of animated text set to music describes how people can help in a small way to make a big impact.
“It is doing what a lot of other nonprofits are doing: trying to figure out how to make on-line social-networking fundraising work as well as it did for the Obama campaign,” writes Scott Russell.
