University of Minnesota physics professor James Kakalios was consulted to add a realistic physics perspective to the movie, “Watchmen.” Kakalios discusses how quantum mechanics can explain Dr. Manhattan’s superhuman powers in the film, and how he has been using the idea of superheroes to help teach physics in the classroom. He has even written his own book on the subject, “The Physics of Superheroes.”
