Police officers offer Minnesota nice during trip to Mexico

For a group of Twin Cities police officers, taking time off from work didn’t mean they’d stop helping others in need. The officers paid their own way for a seven-day trip to Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

KSTP’s Mark Albert reports the officers were welcomed as VIPs during their trip where they worked building a school, handed out supplies, and spent time training other police officers who are often undertrained — especially when Mexican police are faced with bazooka attacks.
