The moon landing remembered

Forty years ago yesterday marked the anniversary of the first lunar landing by astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Some of the first soil and rock samples returned to Earth from that mission were studied by University of Minnesota physics professor emeritus Bob Pepin. Pepin explains how we ended up learning a great deal about the sun from a trip to the moon.
