Dr. Will Nicholson, a family physician in Maplewood, wanted to see what kind of health-insurance experiences many of his patients go though to see him. So last month he elected to drop his employer-provided health-care plan and began an experiment to search for a private insurance plan on his own. While he admits that since he is young and healthy it is not very hard for him to find coverage, it is the confusing options and varying fees that make plan selection difficult.

  1. This was very very very good you should reinterview this doctor. My wife who is a lawyer with 25 years experience found having to purchase a plan individually difficult and bothersome.
