Garrison Keillor recovering in hospital after stroke

After driving himself to the hospital Monday, Garrison Keillor, host of “A Prairie Home Companion,” is recovering from a minor stroke and is scheduled for release Friday.

Keillor underwent surgery to repair a heart valve at the Mayo Clinic in 2001.

Despite the stroke, Keillor plans to be back for his radio program’s new season, which begins Sept. 26 in St. Paul.
