Northwestern College student wins free tuition for a year in halftime contest

Northwestern College freshman Peter Miller does not have to worry about financial aid this year. He won free tuition for a year from the college in St. Paul after punting, passing and kicking a 10-yard field goal during halftime at a school football game.

Miller is the first-ever student to win the Football Frenzy contest since it started in 2002. One year of tuition at Northwestern is valued at 22,250.

Northwestern College hosts a similar event in January called Hoops Hysteria. Spencer Peterson won free tuition at that event in 2002 when he made a layup, free throw, three-pointer and half-court shot in 30 seconds.
