Gov. Tim Pawlenty made an appearance Tuesday on Fox News, where he spoke out against President Barack Obama’s planned spending budget and then offered some ways to reduce the national debt. The current national debt stands at $12 trillion. “Leadership structure of the last several decades have contributed to this, but it is fair to say that President Obama and the current Congress have made it exponentially worse,” Pawlenty said.

Pawlenty suggests these three national debt-reduction solutions:
1. Create a Constitutional Amendment to balance the budget.
2. Give the president a line-item veto.
3. Use TARP and bailout money to pay down the deficit.
