Republican Congresswomen Michele Bachmann appeared on Fox’s “Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld” Wednesday to oppose a tactic she said has never been used before in the history of Congress that she says will do great violence to the constitution.
House Democrats are considering passing the health care bill without a vote, a move Republicans are calling a “Slaughter Solution,” named after House Rules Chairman Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y. According to CBS News chief political analyst Marc Ambinder, Republicans have indeed used the “Slaughter Solution” — also known as deem-and-pass —- before to avoid a recorded vote.
Bachmann also said the negative reality of the health care reform bill is that those under 35 will see their monthly health care costs increase dramatically to pay for older individuals joining the plan. And in order to see a doctor, she said, people will be placed on a government waiting list delaying access to care.
