Gov. Tim Pawlenty, appearing on CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” Wednesday, touted his role in achieving a Minnesota budget agreement without raising any taxes.
“I am very proud of taking my very liberal state and bringing it back into a more market-oriented, more free enterprise, more entrepreneurial-leaning direction,” he said.
Pawlenty still had no comment on a bid for the 2012 presidential nomination.
Pawlenty also sat down with host Gary Eichten at Minnesota Public Radio. There, he compared the changes in Minnesota’s global position in education, health care, natural resources and quality of life since he first took office. He also defended his decision not to raise taxes and his belief in less government intervention in everyday life.
