Mark Ritchie discusses the primary voter turnout

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie said he was very pleased with the number of voters who turned out for Tuesday’s primary election for governor. With a 15 percent turnout rate and a larger than expected number of absentee voters, Ritchie said it was the large media coverage and intense campaigning by each party that drew voters to the polls.
