Sen. Parry angered by laughter directed at Republicans

In a hearing last week about a collective bargaining agreement with two state employees unions, Sen. Mike Parry, R-Waseca, threatened to eject a number of audience members for laughing during the proceedings. This prompted two DFLers to offer a rebuke until finally Sen. Parry called a ten-minute recess for things to cool down.

As well as the one with the thinnest skin. You would think that anyone–of any party–who has been in politics as long as he has could shrug off being laughed at.

    Mike Parry

Wow! How did someone so arrogant and obnoxious get placed
as a chairperson on a committee? He should be embarrassed
for talking to Mr. Winkler and the taxpayers in the room and
he should apologize! What at self important bore! We really do not
need people like him being put in a chairperson position.
