Wilderness photographer extraordinaire Sparky Stensaas arose at 3:30 in the morning in late September to make the drive up to Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota to attempt to get some shots of moose. His calling efforts were quickly rewarded when a curious bull approached. It’s hard not to be infected by Stensaas’ enthusiasm as he encounters this majestic animal.
