Outspoken Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has been in the news a lot lately for his strong stance opposing the proposed Minnesota marriage amendment, so it’s no surprise that he has recorded a video for Minnesotans United for All Families, the main group opposing the amendment. Kluwe talks in the video about how NFL old-timers were less receptive to questions of gay rights but how as younger players come in those attitudes are changing.

  1. Nice to see

I love it when the local celebrities get involved. I know many people who have commented that Chris Kluwe should still to punting and keep his mouth shut. But I completely disagree. He has just as much right to voice his opinions as the next person. And he does it very well.

  2. Chris Kluwe nailed it

Klue nailed this one and put in down there on the two yard line. A perfect punt.

  3. Agree that Kluwe is totally entitled to his own opinion

but it does make me a little sick that he’s so antagonistic to anyone else’s opinion. This is coming from someone that is generally on his side with this, but if we’re going to have free speech and free opinions, why does he need to basically tell the Pio Press to shove it because one of their editors has a different stance? I just don’t like the “I’m right, you’re wrong” attitude. It’s never going to get people on the other side of this issue to even come close to changing their minds. It will just make things more divisive.
