The Minnesota Historical Society is currently featuring an exhibit on Minnesota’s involvement in the U.S. Civil War. The video below examines the plight of prisoners of war during the conflict, which worsened as the war went on, drawing on examples of Minnesotan soldiers. The “Minnesota and the Civil War” exhibit runs through September 8 at the Minnesota History Center.
