Modern furniture masterpieces: behind the scenes at Minneapolis’ Danish Teak Classics

Started as a hobby to fill extra warehouse space, the Northeast Minneapolis business now employs 10 people and imports hundreds of pieces from Denmark each year.

The newly-launched Modern Midwest presents an interview with Steven Swanson, the owner of Danish Teak Classics in Northeast Minneapolis. Every year, DTC imports and restores hundreds of pieces of modern furniture from Denmark. Swanson tells the story of how the business started from a hobby and gives a behind-the-scenes look at the DTC warehouse and restoration workshop.
