Zoo Day at the Minnesota State Capitol

It’s not all serious business at the Capitol.

Lest you think a legislator’s day is entirey taken up with comittee meetings and long-lasting floor debates, witness Zoo Day, when representatives of the Minnesota Zoo head up to the capitol with animals in tow. Of course, it’s not all just for fun: the zoo is lobbying for an $11 million appropriation this year, as well as any bonding funds that might be available.
